Lana Gendlin Brooks
Creative Connector + Entrepreneur
Hello! I'm so glad you've stopped by. My aim with HeARTs Work is to inspire you to find your creative flow...because it feels SO good. I've felt it and decided I can't go back to 'work' everyday without it.
I never feel like I'm working - just doing something that inspires me and brings me joy.
I bring over 15 years of experience in the arts and culture sector that is grounded in museum work. I've had the honor to work in some of the nation's top museums, including the Smithsonian Institution and American Museum of Natural History in NYC. My experience embodies all stages of an organization's lifecycle and all aspects of non-profit management, including operations, administration, program/exhibition development, marketing, writing, and fundraising.
After subsequently spending several years in the corporate world in marketing and product development, and then as a founding partner of a new, co-working creativity center, I reflected on all of my past experiences and realized where my true talents lie...I am a creative connector! I found my true passion and calling with HeARTs Work. I authentically know what it is to achieve creative flow in my everyday work. My mission is to help others achieve creative flow by connecting them to the tools, resources and contacts they need so they too can manifest their dreams.
I hold an M.A. in Museum Studies from the George Washington University and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. When I'm not unleashing my creativity and helping others, you can find me partaking in activities with my son, working out, skiing, skating or putting pen to paper.
